Full-body workouts are Coach Jacqueline’s jam and she’s always up for the challenge, thanks to her secret weapon: coffee. Jacqueline has always had big dreams—from pursuing paleontology for a career to hoping to one day become a Radio City Rockette. While she still loves dinosaurs and tap dancing, Jacqueline found the perfect fit for her as a fitness professional and stuntwoman.
Coach Matt is the Fitness Manager at Basecamp Pasadena. His personal training experience dates back over fifteen years when he worked in London as a trainer. Matt appreciates the supportive family vibe at the studio and says that’s what he loves most about coming to work each day. Matt is a 7 year veteran coach at Basecamp, and one of the OG's. Matt loves animals (especially his rescue terriers Trixie & Rocco) and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Welsh - yes Wales have their own language, he is also learning Japanese, Spanish, and French.
Coach Stephanie is a Pasadena Original! She’s been coaching there since the studio opened, and she can’t get enough of the way everyone cheers each other on. Stephanie is a die-hard University of Michigan and Detroit fan, even though she now lives on the West Coast. In other important news, Stephanie’s perfect day would include crunchy tacos, Hawaii, and fresh laundry—not necessarily in that order
Coach Annora was a competitive swimmer, turned actress, turned trainer. She's been working in the fitness field for over ten years with a specialty in working with older adults and people with physical limitations, receiving her Master's in Gerontology from USC in 2019. But it's not just Annora's expertise in the field, it's her energy and enthusiasm that makes her fit right in with our Basecamp family!
As a professional dancer and licensed massage therapist, Jayen's fitness philosophy comes from a place of wholesome movements. Jayen believes that it's not about the number on the scales, it's about how you feel and how well you move! At the end of his class he promises to leave you feeling alive, strong, and confident.
James is originally from the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. Much like Basecamp's roots, his initial strides within the fitness world were in boxing and MMA. James is always game for a heart-pounding HIIT workout, hitting the bikes hard while torching the muscles, particularly during a Full Body day at Basecamp. Outside of coaching, James is an avid writer and filmmaker, always down for a good chat about movies!
Oliver is a passionate coach with a deep love for helping others achieve their fitness goals. Drawing from his personal training experience, he focuses on strength, endurance, and confidence in every class. Always excited to guide others, he believes in making fitness accessible and enjoyable for everyone, no matter their current skill and fitness level. A former athlete who's still got it, Oliver plays flag football, is an avid run-clubber, and is new to the rock climbing community.
