Emily has been leading group fitness for years and spent much of that time on the mic as a cycling instructor. If you’ve taken one of her Basecamp classes, you know this to be true as she tends to have a strong fondness for long bike pushes and sprints. Known for being “sweet but savage,” Emily is also known for encouraging people to “embrace their pace” while finding joy in the sometimes uncomfortable process. When she’s not teaching or taking class, you can find Emily with her husband Tyler, daughter Hadley, or Goldendoodle Dolly.

Mitch is our head coach and has been coaching with Basecamp since 2019. Since then, he’s coached thousands of classes and told thousands of mediocre dad jokes. He has a degree in exercise science and developed a passion for fitness during his time with the Marines. Mitch loves Basecamp for the team aspect that comes from a fitness community working to better themselves and each other. Outside of the studio, Mitch spends time with his wife Paige and their two kids. If Mitch doesn’t have a dumbbell in his hand, he’s holding a beer from a Twin Cities brewery—sometimes one in each hand.

Max has been with Basecamp for nearly a decade—an absolute staple in our coaching crew. His coaching style? He’ll absolutely crush you during class, but his motivational, uplifting mantras make you forget you’re dying (almost). Max is deeply passionate about health and wellness and brings that energy into every class he leads. When he’s not on the mic, you can usually find him roaming the aisles of Trader Joe’s or out on the golf course perfecting his swing.

Kami has been with Basecamp since the early days, coaching at one of the very first Minnesota studios. She’s known for her sharp eye, technical coaching, and the way she completely owns the room the second class starts. Kami is passionate about strength training, form, and helping people move better both inside and outside the studio. Her core block is nothing short of legendary—rumor has it, you’ll get abs immediately. Don’t let her sweet smile fool you, though—she can lift just as heavy as the boys (and usually heavier).

Coach Christian is a Basecamp Minnesota OG as he was one of the first hires at the very first Basecamp studio in Minneapolis back in 2019. Often told he should pursue a career as a radio DJ or as an auctioneer, Christian is known for being a hype coach and a smooth talker. In fact, he’ll talk you into back-to-back bike sprints without you even realizing it’s happening. When he’s not on the mic carrying around an energy drink that he doesn’t need, you can find Christian on the golf course, searching for a new craft beer, or running around with his twin boys and wife Emily.

Alison is one of our OG coaches—part of one of our very first Basecamp teams in Minnesota. After a short adventure out east coaching at F45 in Maine, she’s back home (and we couldn’t be happier about it). Known for her warm, bubbly energy and contagious smile, Alison brings out the best in every class she leads. Don’t be surprised if you see her literally sprinting across the room during bike pushes—she’s all in, every time. Outside of the studio, Alison loves spending time with her husband Hunter and their sweet new baby, Maxine.
